Bannerhanging: “If the world were a bank, you’d bail it out” -- Frankfurt, Germany

In advance to the EU Heads of State Spring Summit Greenpeace Germany activists hung a 12 x 13 m banner at the 155m high tower of the Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt saying “If the world were a bank, you’d bail it out” . Police and fire-rescue specialists for rescue from height arrived very fast and asked Greenpeace to leave the building. After long discussions they decided that it is safer to let the activists stay in place rather than trying to get them down. Result: climbers and banner stayed in place for 7 hours. Video of the action (in German):
